Well as another years passes, what will you different in this upcoming year than you did this past year? Start thinking about it as you reflect about all of 2015. Enjoy your night with family and friends. Tomorrow begins a new year, with immense possibilities. Happy New Year to you and yours.
So you need to imagine it finished. I say this, because if you don't measure and look ahead then sometimes the job may not be done because additional things may need to happen in order to complete the job. For example we just redid our kitchen and the holes that were cut in the granite for the faucet are too close to the wall based on where the windowsill is above the kitchen sink.So now we either have to pick out another kitchen faucet or take out the windowsill, then recut it and make it closer to the wall so the sink faucet will work. This goes back to you should "measure twice and cut once." After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Want it? If you want something, go for it. Do what it takes in an ethical and professional manner to go make it happen. Have a vision of where you see yourself in the future and create a path to get you to your vision's destination. It will require you to be daring, persistent, and have excellent follow through. But it is all worth it because that destination beats this destination, mostly because of the journey to get there. Plus, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. "Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves." – Philippians 2:3 So what do you do when you call a business you have used for 10 years and their phone number recording comes on and says this number has been temporarily disconnected? What do you do? Do you give up and find someone else? Do you track them down because they have what you want or need? If you own a business or manage one...make sure your phone number never says temporarily disconnected. There is a lot of lost business due to this mistake or error. So handle your affairs accordingly to make sure you are never disconnected...whether regarding your phone line or your business. After all, its the right thing to do and it models the way for others. In times of stress, people revert to habit. So work to manage the stress in your life by eating right, working out regularly, planning accordingly, not procrastinating, and by doing what you need to do when you need to do it even if you don't feel like it. After all preventing stressful situations is the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Merry Christmas! There is nothing like spending time with family enjoying great food, good laughs, celebrating our lives and Jesus birth, and creating great memories. It's one of the best days of the year. Merry Christmas from me and my family to you and yours. The greatest gift ever was Jesus. The reason for the season isn't about all the gifts I just finished wrapping and placing under the tree, but it's about the original gift giver, Jesus. Giving and receiving gifts is typically done for your closest friends and family, that's what makes the gift of Jesus birth so special - because he wants a close relationship with you. Happy birthday Jesus and Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. One thing that I've learned over the years is that you can't want it more for someone else then they want it for themselves. Realize it's a difference of "want to" versus "have to." And once you realize this, then you understand that the ball is in their court and it's really up to them. And it's the right thing to do and models the way for others. In order to lead a team, you need to cast a vision of where you want to go. Then you need to roll out a clear and concise plan of how you are going to get there. Focus on just a few things and do them really well. Execute at a high level every single day. Make sure you explain what a good job looks like and model the way. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. |
