Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

The right order

Make sure you follow the right order, whether it's putting something together or following a sales step sales process. There is a reason for that specific order, and if you think another order might work...well don't be surprised if you end up doing it over again and having to follow the right order. After all the order is there for a reason, so follow it. It's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

Getting a good deal

The day after Thanksgiving is known in the shopping and retail world as "Black Friday." Many shoppers get up really early to get a good deal. But want really is a good deal. To me, a good deal is a good price for a good product or service. Just remember, you really do get what you pay for.

Be thankful for what you have, not what you don't have. Don't dream about what you want, but be greatful for what you do have, not for what you do want. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

Competition

Having competition helps you stay on your game and push yourself, especially if you hate to lose. Having a flash board to track daily sales or results, or whatever else you may use to stay competitive. Having competition helps you push yourself to do more and help you reach your full potential. After all, being competitive and pushing yourself to become better than you were is the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

Thankful

I am very thankful for the Thanksgiving luncheon put on at work today. I had the opportunity to meet some really great hardworking employees that I wouldn't normally see. I am very thankful for the diverse workforce we have and the hard work they do everyday. Make sure you spend time thanking those you work with for all they do. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

Whether you are preparing for guests for Thanksgiving or moving into s new office, take time to tidy up and clean up any messes. Take pride in where you live and where you work. Take time to tidy up, clean up and toss out...donate to a good cause, recycling to recycling, and waste to waste. After all it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

This week

I learned a very valuable lesson from a mentor and friend, "don't carry this week into next week." In other words, get everything done this week that needs to be done versus carrying it into next week. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

Story tellers

One great way to help people learn and understand what they need to do, is to tell a story. Being a good storyteller takes practice, experience and using the right words to paint a picture. Many people learn by being able to understand a story or situation that they can relate to. So what you will see is that many of the best leaders are great storytellers, because stories help people relate to you. They get to see another side of you. A story, along with other characteristics and experiences helps others learn to trust, because stories show your human side. So learn to tell great stories by just thinking through the story in your head before you tell it and decide what makes a great story, and then tell what happened in the best and most entertain way possible. My father and brother are great story tellers, so I learned from the best by just observing them.. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
