Matthew 14:27-29 New International Version (NIV)

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

29 “Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

Tired

When you get tired from many hours of running and going full steam ahead, take a few extra hours and get a little extra rest. It will make a huge difference in your health, your attitude, and your energy. The amount of sleep that you get has a direct correlation to the type of energy and the amount of energy that you put out. So make sure that when you're tired, that you take care of yourself to impact your output of energy. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

Good leaders work hard to make sure no one gets left behind. When you build a team of A+ players, you know you have the right team when they all work together to win. It's really about hiring the best, knowing the personalities of those on your team, and encouraging selflessness. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

Lots of laughter

Sometimes it's okay just to celebrate privately with just your immediate family. It doesn't have to be elaborate with big gifts, big bows, and big balloons. It can just be a small celebration with good stories being told, big smiles, lots of laughter, and great memories being created. I prefer that anyway, especially the lots of laughter part. After all, it really is the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

Being able to communicate effectively will help you in your personal and professional life and will help you become better than you were. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

Be open to feedback

Be open to feedback. Now is the time where companies and managers are working on year end reviews and most likely you're going to be receiving feedback in the next few weeks. Be open to the feedback and be willing to become better than you were before you worked for the company or knew your manager/leader. Accepting feedback and working to become better is a noble cause that has big rewards. Plus, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
