You never get a second chance to make a good first impression. So choose wisely how you will make a great first impression. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:4-6 (NIV) If you're in sales, ask yourself this question. When you play games...do you play to win? or do you play for the fun of it? If you play to win, then you're probably in the right industry. But if you only play for the fun of it, then you probably should not have a career in sales. Sales is an industry and business of winning. In sales you're only as good as your most recent sales numbers. And you're expected to continue to perform at an even higher level every month moving forward. So playing to win has to be the right attitude to exceed the expectations and continue to win. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Construction companies are typically doing one of two things. Building up or tearing down. What do your words say about you? Are you wanting to build people up? Or tear them down? Make sure not to be like the construction company, but just focus on building people up. When you do that, it'll make all the difference in the world. Plus, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Rise up young lad. Two way to rise up, step up or grow. My son just surpassed his older sister in height. Height is only visual. Strength comes from within. Make sure to grow and rise to any given occasion. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Today I had the opportunity to celebrate a friend's 70th birthday with her and her family. It's great to celebrate such an occasion with such an awesome family. And I feel very honored that they were inviting me to celebrate my friend's life. To have friends you have to be a friend. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. What is your level of engagement? How much are you engaged at what you do? Having a high level of engagement is important to overall job satisfaction and success. Be optimistic and impact those around you for the better. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. If you're struggling in a specific area, ask questions from other people and learn from the best. Getting advice from people who are doing an exceptional job is key to helping improve your skill set. Be open to feedback and work to become better than you were. After all it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. "Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." -John 3:20-21 (NIV) If you didn't spend much time in the outdoors growing up, I suggest you take time and spend some time in the great outdoors and enjoy all it's splendor. Look at the beauty all around. What was the most beautiful thing you saw outside today? Learn to appreciate the world and not just what you have, but what you see. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. |
