Just do what you know you need to do, when you need to do it, and how it needs to be done...the first time, no matter what, even if you don't feel like it. Don't make someone ask you or tell you what to do, but just do it. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."
Keep it tight means being keeping it together and being well aware of where you are and where you are going. If you get too loose, you can lose your way. So make sure you keep it tight and model the way for others. Don't wait until the last minute to do something. For example if your company offers a new product and no one else in the office has processed a sale for the new product, don't wait until the last day of the month until after hours until you try to process it. Because if there are problems and issues there's no one there to help you. So make sure that you don't wait and that you properly plan. After all it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Using technology is great but realize that for most 40+ aged adults, following up is more than just an email. If you need something or want something, ask for it...and don't just do that in am email. Be persistent, follow through to completion or until you get what you want. After all following through, real follow though is the right thing to go and it models the way for others. Make sure that you pace yourself through life. Pace yourself each day to have time for what's important: for your faith, for your family, for your spouse, for your children, for you work, for your friends, for your parents, for your siblings, and for yourself. After all pacing yourself with life helps when you face stressful situations. You'll be able to know how to respond because you understand that there are fast times and slow times of life and managing through the slow times helps you understand how to manage during the fast times. After all pacing yourself is the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Love what you do, so do what you love. Life is too short to do something you don't love, especially regarding work. So take time to choose wisely what you do for work so that way you can enjoy and love what you do. Once you figure out what your passion is and what you love to do, choose to make an impact in whatever field you choose. After all, loving what you do and doing what you love is the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Giving honest feedback from the heart is the right thing to do. Because telling people what they need to hear with love versus telling people what they want to hear is the better response when giving feedback. Most people are rarely given honest feedback that helps them become better. At work the top performer's attention from their manager is usually given to their underperforming counterparts who believe that giving the under performers the main focus of their attention will have the biggest impact on the team's results What top leaders and managers realize is that top performers can do even more if given honest feedback that can help them become better than they were. After all giving honest feedback from the heart, to help others become better than they were is the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 Take time and make time to talk with your spouse, your children, your parents, your siblings and your friends. One of the best pulse checkers on any relationship is regular open communication. Find time that works for everyone, and schedule time if needed to make sure that it happens. Taking time to talk and regularly talking is the right thing to do and it models the way for others. |
