Don't wait until the last minute to do something. For example if your company offers a new product and no one else in the office has processed a sale for the new product, don't wait until the last day of the month until after hours until you try to process it. Because if there are problems and issues there's no one there to help you. So make sure that you don't wait and that you properly plan. After all it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
