If you are "all in" you show up. Even if you have the flu and even if you have a fever... you show up. It's better to show up and have them ask you or tell you to go home, than you not show up because you decided. Let your manager decide you should be in bed versus you deciding. After all, your behaviors demonstrate what's going on on the inside more than your words. Plus, it models the way for others. Are you grateful? To me being grateful is appreciating what you have or what you've been given. So honor the person that helped you grow or gave you something by taking care of it and being grateful? To me being grateful is appreciating what you have or what you've been given. Don't take things for granted and make sure not to covet "things." At the end of your life you won't look back and wish you had more things, but that you spent time with those you love and those that love you. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. It's never a good sign to see someone freak out, especially a doctor. I realize the flu is rampant right now in my region of the country and the importance of being cautious, but to see someone in that type of position visibly freak out, it does not give the nurses or patients the feeling or belief that everything is under control. Leaders can learn from this...if you lead people, don't freak out. Great leaders are confident, have a vision, know what to do in advance of a potentially stressful situation, and almost like a natural instinct they instill calm because others rely on that leader to lead through the change when the tough things happen. So next time you are in a stressful situation, don't freak out. Be calm, decisive, figure out the plan, and then execute that winning plan at a high level. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Whenever you have to give a presentation in front of a group, practice through the presentation at least seven times. Practice it as if you were standing in front of the group and you're actually presenting whatever it is you need to present. That way the more comfortable you are with it, the more confident you come across, and the more powerful the delivery of the message. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Surround yourself with those you want to be like, not the ones you want to run from. After all it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Focus on what's important and what's critical versus the nice to haves. When you understand the difference between what is critical, what is important, and what is nice to have, you understand what you need to focus on. After all it's the right thing to do and models the way for others. "A faithful employee is as invigorating as a cool day in the hot summertime. He refreshes the soul of his boss." -Proverbs 25:13 Are you physically prepared? Are you ready to present at your next meeting? Being physically prepared with all the facts and information to need for your presentation helps you have confidence and win versus losing. So be prepared both mentally and physically and win. After all, it's the right thing to do and models the way for others. Are you mentally ready for tomorrow? Being ready mentally to take on whatever challenges tomorrow has come your way is important because overcoming obstacles helps you win. And the the specific ways you overcome obstacles can be utilized in other areas of your life so you can win versus lose. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. |
