Dou think it matters what you drive? If you are in sales, you may want to reconsider your answer. My father and brother, both gave me feedback that they thought it mattered when I was new to sales. I didn't really think so, until recently. What I have learned is that customers want to work with a successful trusted advisor. How do you visually describe a successful trusted advisor? What you drive is a piece of the puzzle. Plus, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
You may remember hearing this before growing up, "in order to have friends, you have to be one." As you get older, you may lose touch with some of your best friends. Make sure that you put your best foot forward to remain friends and continue those relationships. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. I have a specific philosophy and believe that I do not do business with friends. I only support their children when they are selling something for their school or social group. I lost a good friendship years ago and don't want to ever repeat it. Just consider if any sale transaction is worth losing your friendship over. Plus, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Make sure you know who you are and who you are not. Get to know others around you by talking with them versus texting or emails. Understanding someone's heart and head as to why they are the way they are makes a huge difference. But before you focus on other people make sure you know who you and why you are the way you are. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Be there and in the moment when you need to. Stay off your phone, avoid distractions, and provide your undivided attention. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phillipeans 4:6-7 (NIV) Have fun as a family. Laughter and smiles are the outcome of having fun. If you're not currently hearing a lot of laughter or seeing a lot of smiles and there's a lot of yelling going on, make sure you have a balance, and learn to have fun. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. One of your jobs as a parent is to create laughter in the home. It's one of the best things I remember growing up, even more than the strict rules. If you're not creating laughter now, make a change and start having fun and laugh. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Find ways to encourage your children to compete with you. Whether it's a fun game, playing the backyard, or any other fun or silly activity. It will create great competition and great memories and it will instill a competitive spirit in them as adults, which is rare in the workforce. Plus, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Who do you miss? Whether it's right now, occasionally, or when you travel. Make sure that you let them know and then find time to talk with them or spend time with them. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. |
