If you are a dad, date your daughter. If you are a mom, date your son. What I know to be true is that if it is important to you how your children will treat their spouse when they grow up and marry. If you are a single parent, see if another close relative that you trust can assist you in this area. You must model the way on how they should treat or interact with the opposite sex. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those that listen 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Git rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with ever form of malice. Ephesians 4:29-31 Where do you volunteer? If you are currently volunteering, think about a place or group that you would like to volunteer one to fours hours per month. Make an effort towards and commit to volunteering to help others. Think of all of the people that have volunteered to help you become better than you were before you knew them. After all, volunteering and investing into others its the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Who is your mentor? Are you being mentored? If not, who is that older or more experienced person that could help you become better? Sometimes you just have to ask someone you trust and respect to mentor you. Be bold and over the next month reach out to someone and ask them if they would mentor you. Plus, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Who are you mentoring? If you are over 21 years old or older, make time and take time to mentor someone. It's a great feeling to know that you are giving back and personally investing in someone else. Plus, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Where is your happy place? The place you go to that just puts a big smile on your face. If you don't have one of these, you should. Mine is Cherokee Park. Make time over the next month to find (if you have not found yours yet) your happy place and go there. Feel the difference it will make in your life. Plus, its the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Politics and sports are two things I don't talk about with customers. Living in the Midwest, people have very strong beliefs surrounding these two issues and sometime make purchasing or buying decisions based on their belief of these two areas. After all, I believe it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. If you are in sales, personal grooming is important. Make sure you schedule haircuts in a regular basis. Also trim your nails (hands and feet), trim facial hair including face, nose, eyebrows, and ears on a regular basis. Males should wear undershirt to keep dress shirts dry and sweat free. How you dress includes how you groom yourself. You don't want any distractions during your sales pitch. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. 21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who live it will eats its fruit. Proverbs 18:21 Do you think it matters what you wear if you are in sales? For years I have been a proponent for dressing professional for the role you are in. I believe that how you dress impacts how you perform. I also believe you should dress for the position you want, and not the position you have. Plus, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. |
