Make sure you stay in touch with your best of friends over time. After all you have to be a friend to have friends. Work on your friendships and invest time, energy and effort. After all it's the right thing to do, and at the end of your life it will be your family and your closest of friends and those relationships that you will cherish and hold dear as you look back on your life. It's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
To be or not to be, you decide. That's right...it's not about the question, but more about you deciding to be, setting a path to make it happen, and then being. It starts in your head, is observed by your actions, and the results come your determination to make it happen. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Midway through the year is a great time to pause and reflect and make changes. Making changes midway through the year allows you to adapt to whatever you need to do to finish the year strong. It's a great way for you to look at what's gone great and what you would change to finish the year stronger than where you are right now. Go ahead and make the changes and reinforce the good. Push yourself and your team, because each of you have more in you than you think you do. After all, reflecting on what you can do better or different, along with reinforcing what is going good is the right thing to do and it models the way for others. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. Romans 7:15 (NIV) Figure out your child's bent and help them become the person God designed them to be. Understanding what your child's really good at and helping them walk down the path of self-discovery is key to a fulfilling career and future job satisfaction for life. So do what you can, to help your child figure out their bent and watch them grow and blossom over time. After all it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. One of reps on my team spoke with a potential customer and set an appointment to meet with Bill at a certain service oriented business. This is the quote from Bill on his website: "Trust is earned, respect is given, and loyalty is demonstrated. Betrayal of any one of these is to lose all three." What a great quote and slogan to have on your website and to model the way for others. Thank you. Put in the hours, to make it happen. If you need to put in extra hours to hit an objective or do your job or make it happen, then do it. But most jobs wh ere you have to work 70 or 80 or 90 hours a week may not be the right fit for you. You may consider yourself to be a workaholic or just very dedicated, but you need to have a balance s work smarter. After all it's the right thing to so and it models the way for others. If you are in sales, how many dial attempts does it take to reach a decision maker? How many decision makers does it take for you to set an appointment? How many appointments that you set actually keep the appointment? Then how many appointments does it take to make a sale? How much is your average sale? What is your objective? Where are you at now towards hitting and exceeding your objective? What is your variance towards objective? Knowing the answers to each and every question above is key to hitting your numbers consistently. Master answering these questions, increase your dial time, improve your sales call process, and master closing techniques...and watch your numbers improve. After all it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. If you are in sales... Are you ready? For the next appointment? For the next sale? Will you pitch big? Will you sell them what they need, not what you think they'll buy? Are you willing to stand up for your recommendation and not let your customer talk you down in program or price, because anything less than what you are recommending won't meet their needs. Listen to your customer. Ask high-gain questions that will give you answers that you can solve the customer's issue. Recap the situation and present your recommendation. Both physical and mental prep tied with excellent listening skills and a solid recommendation pave the way for a sale. But none of that matters if you if don't close. Master multiple closing techniques, and use the best close for the situation you are in. So don't assume you know about the customer, just because you've handled like-businesses before in the same industry. Don't assume you know the answers, even if you have called on the customer before. Take the time to get ready. What is your idea for the customer? Be confident. Speak clearly and don't rush or skip the process. How you prepare and get ready determines how you finish. So get ready and go make it happen. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. There is a period of my life as a young adult where I was just plain young and dumb. I thought I knew best, did things for selfish reasons, and just made really bad decisions. I'm very greatful that those days are well behind me. Today was one of the days I was reminded of being young and dumb. A good friend of mine from years past reached out on FB. One stupid action hurt our friendship for which I am very sorry. Here is the advice I would have given my young and dumb self...don't be stupid. Seek wise counsel and listen. And, as I teach my kids by modeling the way, when you hurt someone tell them you are sorry and ask for their forgiveness. It's never too late to say you're sorry and ask for forgiveness. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. |
