Being future focused, what will you do? Stay focused on what lies ahead versus what has passed. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others
When opportunity knocks, open the door, walk through the door and listen. You might just surprised at what you hear. Remember you have two ears and one mouth, so you can listen twice as much as you talk. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Once you have a great mentor, your life will never be the same. I have been blessed to have several and they have forever changed my life. Three cheers to my three main mentors: Tom, Tony and Eric. Thanks for all you have taught me. Thank you for challenging me to be better. And most of all, thank you for modeling the way. My life truly is forever changed. If you have ever had a mentor, the best thing you can do to show your appreciation is to mentor someone else and pass on your knowledge and experience. To me "spring forward" means two things, advance your clock in the spring for daylight savings time and advance time to see where you're going to go. Make sure that you understand the direction you're heading in and if you truly do lose one hour when your clocks spring forward it's really not that big of a deal. After all, springing forward is the right thing to do and models the way for others. During a recent ice storm a family was shoveling snow on driveways when we received a foot of snow on our street. The dad and mom were teaching the daughter and son how to work hard by shoveling the snow on the driveways for money. They had a big snow shovel and a flat headed regular shovel, so I offered them an extra shovel that I carry in my car when snow comes. I told the family they can use my snow shovel to make money for their family, but please return it to my front porch when they were done. I really respected the father and mother for teaching their children the value of working hard. Unfortunately the shovel is not been returned. While the parents taught the children the value of hard work, they did not teach them the value of honesty and being a person of your word by returning my snow shovel. A good work ethic from a thief is worse than a bad work ethic.Teach your children well, which includes more than just teaching them a good work ethic and the value of hard work. After all, it's the right thing to do and models the way for others. "I think that they are great," said my daughter regarding having friends.. I couldn't agree more. I had the opportunity to teach her that in order to have friends, you have to be one. That doesn't change from generation to generation. And being a great friend requires time, energy and effort. Plus, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for other. What do you do when you get snow and lots of it? Shovel, shovel and shovel. Just make sure to take breaks, and back support and drink plenty of fluids. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Why network? So why would you network with people in different industries? The answer lies within the definition of networking. To me networking is getting to know people in your same industry or other industries, so that way you can create opportunities or uncover opportunities that you didn't know you had. After all networking, is the right thing to do in the models the way for others. When there is a fork in the road, how do you decide which path to take? Make sure that you ask the right questions so you uncover what you need to know to make the best decision. When you ask the right questions and you uncover what you need to know, it makes choosing which path at the fork in the road to take much easier. And choosing the right path is the right thing to do and it models the way for others. In times of stress what do you do? Are there any physical, visual or verbal signs that those who know you best would say you do when faced with stressful situations. Pay attention to any visible or verbsl changes. Then if you uncover any, work to not show them during stressful situations. Appearing stressed out or frazzled does not build trust to make the sale. In times of stress people revert to habit. So learn to not let others see you "sweat." After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. |
