Don't wait. Or don't procrastinate. When you wait till the last minute it always takes longer, you get more stressed, and it doesn't go as well as you originally planned. So don't wait. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
You can't be fully confident until you understand who you are and who you are not. Learn to laugh at yourself, and sometimes the best way to laugh at yourself is by being silly or goofy. Maybe its by just getting on the dance floor, like I did tonight at my daughter's father and daughter dance at her school. We had lots of laughs tonight and just had a great time. Take time for the things that really matter because these things that will become "the best of times" memories that you created and you were able to laugh at yourself. It will be memories like these that you will look back on and recall with a big smile on your face and the laughter will find its way out from within you. After all, learning to laugh at yourself is the right thing to do and it models the way for others. One thing I've learned about winning teams is that each player is strong and is working to get better. When you're in sales and you're working to build a winning team, step up and do your best work. In order to get better, treat your craft or trade with respect and make time to get better. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. I believe words express what's going on in your heart and your head. If you say or think good things versus if you say or think bad things, leads to where you are. Choosing what you say based on what's going on inside your heart can make all the difference in the world on your ability to impact those around you. So take time to work on your heart which will impact your head and what you think and ultimately the words you speak. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Create memories that you can look back on and remember the best of times. Take time to laugh, smile, joke around, be serious and cry. When you experience these emotions, you create memories that you can look back on and remember the best of times, the worst if times, and tough times that fostered growth. So make sure you take time to make memories so you can experience and remember the best that life has to offer. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Do you know what you do best? Take time to find out what your best that if you don't know. And doing your best in your job or your career, is an awesome place to be. Don't get stuck in a specific industry, but realize that your skill set may cross multiple industries without you even knowing it. So go find what you do best, because it models the way for others. "Do not associate with a man given to anger; Or go with a hot-tempered man, Or you will learn his ways And find a snare for yourself." - Proverbs 22: 24-25 Parades are a great event that brings entire towns and communities together.Take time and make plans to go to at least one parade this year. The clowns, vehicles and people in the parade make the event and the focus of the parade really special because they stepped up and stepped out to get involved. And getting involved, is the right thing to do models the way for others. Many years ago as a young leader, I learned that one of the goals of a great leader is to get the right people on the bus, in the right seat, all heading the same direction. What wisdom, that truly is. When you accomplish this, it's the beginning of great things ahead that you and your team will accomplish. Following the bus route is the right thing to do, and model the way for others. Make sure that when you get laser focused that it doesn't come across as micromanagement. There is a difference. So watch that your laser focused mode doesn't become something else. After all, it's the right thing to and it models the way for others. |
