When there are no words

Sometimes when there are no words to say, it's alright to be quiet or say "I don't really know how to respond" or "I don't really know what to say." Then take some time away to think about it and the best way to respond. That way you don't say the wrong thing first and the best outcome from the conversation becomes possible. After all, it's the right thing to do an models the way for others.
