Whenever you have time or opportunities to train, take them. Don't try out new restaurants the day before that you have never been to, because you wouldn't want to get food poisoning or be ill and miss the training that can help you get ahead. Training that is slated as mandatory at work can be an opportunity to learn something new that can give you a competitive advantage. Take time to make time time and plan to be there. Do everything in your power to stay well and be prepared to be there. You never know when the training or what you might take from it will be what you just needed to propel yourself, your career, or your attitude forward from what you were able to learn from the training. Being there at training in body, mind and attitude is the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
