Read the entire message

Make sure that you read the entire message . Whether it is an email or a note make sure that you read the entire thing because there could be something that you're being asked to do or something that you need to know. If it's from your manager and they say please come see me on the specific day to discuss this, then make sure you do just that. The ball is in your court to go make that happen. Don't wait for them to come see you or have to ask you again. After all reading the entire message and understanding what you need to do or what you need to understand is the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
