One of my 2014 goals was to mentor somebody outside of work. I wasn't sure how this was going to actually happen so I turned it over to God and put it in His hands. I was open to the opportunity and was looking for the right opportunity when someone on our sales team mentioned that they were mentoring someone at a local university. I asked them if they would put me in contact with that professor to see if they were looking for additional mentors. The exciting thing is that they were and I have recently been selected to mentor someone. I think one of the best opportunities to help someone else out the way I have been helped, is to mentor someone. I encourage each of you to take the time and make the time to mentor someone. It may help them find a job or maybe they might end up working with your own company. The knowledge that you have should be passed along and passed forward to the next generation. After all it's the right thing to do and models the way for others.
