Make sure you use your "third eye" and be aware of your surroundings. You would be surprised how much you miss if you are not looking around. Many times it is because you are very focusing on the task at hand or going to a specific location that you don't slow down and become more observant. So use the imaginary eye in the middle of your forehead like the mythical creature from Greek mythology and later Roman mythology, the Cyclops. Be observant and look around you. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
