If you don't do what you should do or what you're being paid to do, it will eventually catch up to you. If someone calls you and you don't call him back, eventually that will affect you. If you're supposed to meet someone and you stand them up and you don't call and don't show, that will come back to you. When you do the right thing and you do what you're supposed to do, it's a much less stressful position to be in. Take the time now to do what you should or pay later. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
Make sure you pay attention and listen, because you never know who's listening. Your words and your actions say a lot to a customer or person about you. The more you speak and the letters turn into words flying out of your mouth, the more positive or negative the conversation can go. So make sure you choose the right words and don't say anything that you wouldn't want repeated or aired on TV. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Be on time for corporate training. Most of you know who your manager is, but building a brand for yourself when you are working with other people in your company is key. Be able to work on your brand by being on time for any corporate training. Most managers ask trainers for feedback on employees or direct reports that attend corporate training.Remember you never get a second chance to make a great first impression. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. There's a reason that you check the microphone, testing 1-2-3, testing 1-2-3. It's to make sure everything is working properly and you're ready to go for the live broadcast. Make sure that you check and test before your live broadcast. When you do that, you have less errors, less technical problems and deliver a better message. So learn from the tried and true microphone check, testing 1-2-3. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. What is your mindset? The words that come out of the person's mouth says a lot about what that person is thinking. Your mindset if the glass is half full or the glass is half empty comes through in your words and actions. Choose your mindset so your words reflect your mindset. Be known for being a positive person who can make it happen versus being skeptical and causing problems. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Creating traditions tha you can look forward to and enjoy, and that you can pass on to the next generation. So make time to create and enjoy your own family traditions. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. If you're not willing to jump you'll never know the thrill of skydiving. The first time I ever went skydiving I went up in a small plane in Williston Florida and it took 20 to 25 minutes to climb 13,000 feet where it was high enough to jump. Then the pilot said open the door, do you want to go first? I said this is my first time I would prefer to watch someone do it so I know what to expect. I went on to learn to jump alone instead of tandem and I and so glad I was willing to make the first jump. Don't be scared to jump in life. Be bold and be brave, knowing to make a move you have to jump and accept change. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Celebrate your life as you live it. Many people's lives are celebrated at their funerals. But the best way to celebrate your life is every day and by the choices you make, the relationships you build, and by loving and caring for those around you. So celebrate starting today. Who do you need to celebrate with tonight or tomorrow? Because after all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Think about today, how many great conversations did you have? A great conversation doesn't have to have a great outcome. It can just be great dialogue where you have a deeper understanding of another person's thoughts, beliefs, or feelings. Work to have great conversations. Grow and learn together with those you love, those you would like, those you work with, and those you do life with. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. |
