In talking with my daughter tonight we spent time talking about telling the truth, always, and why it is so important. Every once in a while when my daughter does something wrong, she gets embarrassed and lies and tells me that her brother did "it" and that it wasn't her. You can see on her face that she is lying, and she gets disciplined. It is very important for me to always tell the truth and I know it comes from the importance my parents put on telling the truth when I was growing up. So make sure you always tell the truth and teach your children to tell the truth always. After all it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
