From my experience, a sales professional's father impacts them more than they realize. Most sales professionals that I run across have one of the following five types of fathers: (1) a sales professional, (2) an executive, (3) a father with an entrepreneurial spirit, (4) an absent father, (5) or a high expectation father. From what I have observed any one of these five situations creates a environment where a child growing up realizing that they can do more than they thought they could do. And the children of these five types of fathers typically grow up pushing themselves and being self-motivated to perform. Look around and understand the relationships between the father of the sales professional and see if you find this to be true. Building inner drive to be a top performer is what many fathers of sales professionals do because their children observe at a young and and while growing up, what it means for someone like their dad to model the way.
