Will you be ready when your name is called? I'm not talking about waiting in a doctor's office. I'm referring to any other time though. Whether someone seeks you out for a new opportunity, or something else. Being prepared and ready for any obstacle thrown your way and thinking of how you will handle it is s good idea. It's like "Whose line is it anyways," the TV show. They are ready for anything and ready to act it out. You be ready for when you are called. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. When you are building an excellent winning team, you cannot accept mediocrity. It's just that simple. Everyone has to pull their own weight and do their part. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Sometimes the unexpected happens. And on days like that, smile, say a prayer, and enjoy the rest of your day. What I have found is when you are just yourself, don't try too hard, don't sugar coat anything, don't try to force things, and don't try to rush things...that it is in those times that the unexpected happens. And just allowing the unexpected to happen models the way for others. My dad gave me some great advice before I went off to college. He said "When you go off to college, study and make good grades, but make sure that you have a good time and make great friends, because when you finish college life will never be the same again." How true. I am so grateful for the advice and I am so glad I followed his advice. Good time and great friends. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. 5As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. 6“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.' ” Mark 16: 5-7 NIV When you're undefeated you can't let up for a minute. You have to follow the play or the plan exactly as it should be run. Any mistakes can impact effectiveness and multiple mistakes can impact momentum. Stay ahead instead of having to play catch up.its the best way to remain undefeated. After all, it's the right thing to do and models the way for others. With hospital emergency rooms, size matters. Any given hospital is limited to care for the multitude of patients by the number of ER patient rooms they have. If you have been to an ER recently, you would most likely find extremely long wait times. My mother-in-law was in an ER in South Florida all morning today. When I state all morning, I literally mean all morning. She was there for 12 hours. We are going on 5 hours and my wife was just seen. Bigger hospitals with more ER patient rooms, can see more patients. When I asked the charge nurse tonight why they didn't call in more staff, she said "it's not a staffing problem, it's a room problem." And when I asked if this is a typical day with this long of a wait, she said "yes." As a lifetime ER visitor for variety of reasons, I had to ask, why the influx in patients and the longer wait times than I have ever experienced in my life. She politely replied, "Its because of the healthcare reform." I think I will find out what hospital within an hour drive that has the most number of ER patient rooms and go there next time. With more rooms and a bigger staff, they should be able to more more patients through and not have their patients wait 4 hours or more for an emergency. More research should produce a better plan, that results in less time to handle an emergency. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. On April 1st, April Fool's Day, what joke did you play on a customer or friend? What or how did you use April 1st to lower your customer's tension, increase productivity, or just have fun with your clients? Make sure to use specific dates throughout the year to reach out to your customers and friends and connect in a fun way. After all, it's the right thing to do and models the way for others.
