Words

Words can hurt and words can heal. Work towards a partnership with your spouse or significant other. Pay attention to what you say. As someone I work with says, there are 2 types of responses to decisions: 1) career enhancing decision versus a 2) career limiting decision. Now, replace the word decision with the word relationship and you have 1) relationship enhancing decision versus a 2) relationship limiting decision. Think in these terms and grow together instead of growing apart. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
