What do you do...when you get bad news? Whether its from your spouse, your children, your work or your spouse's work, your doctor or your spouse's doctor, or somewhere else. How you choose to respond can impact your mindset, plus it can set an example for others. Will you worry, panic or freak out? Will you sulk, be sad or depressed? Decide now how you will respond when faced with bad news. The Bible clearly states how you should respond to bad news in Philippians 4:6-7. "6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." If you decide now how to respond to bad news, then when bad news comes, you have a way and a path to stop the stinkin' thinkin'. In this sinful world, bad news will come. Decide in advance how you will respond and model the way for those you love.
