Knowing when to have the right conversation is as important as the conversation itself. Time of the day and day of the week matter. Learn to motivate your team and those around you by planning when you have your specific conversations. After all building them up in the morning and throughout the week can do more for you than having tough conversations during this time. Give honest feedback and coach them up, but save the really difficult conversations for Friday afternoons. After all it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
