You have been healed (9/4/16 blog post)

9/5/2016

20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

22

“He committed no sin,
and no deceit was found in his mouth.”[a]

23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

When you lead people, make sure you lead by example. Don't ever ask anyone who reports to you, to do something you would never do yourself. It's a basic fundamental laws of leadership. Plus, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

Sometimes you just know, but is that enough?

Sometimes you just know that it's the right thing. It could be regarding a purchase, a mate, an interview, or a variety of different options. I believe that jut instinct is important, but I have found that using your guy is not enough. I am s big believer that past performance predicts future behavior. And using past performance with your gut instinct can help you make wise decisions. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

"It"

Do you have "it?" No I am not referring to Cousin It from the Adam's Family television show. If you are in sales and you have it, you know it. I believe having "it" is a combination of confidence, ability, persuasion skills, the ability to gain trust quickly, and defined closing skills. If you are known for making it happen then you may have "it." Only you know and only you can become what you were designed for. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

Sandbagging (8/31/16 blog)

Sandbagging is it terminology in sales used to reference future sales that are signed and ready to go now, but you decided not to because you want help your next month or next cycle. To be awesome, if you prepare properly you don't need to sandbag because you will continue to have enough activity to produce top shelf results. Believe in yourself, know your skills and what you need to do to get better, increase your productivity with face-to-face or conversations on the phone with decision-makers, and you won't have a need to feel like you need to sandbag. True sales pro rock stars never have a need to sandbag because they put in the right activities every day to win every month and they don't like to wait to be paid on sales they already have signed. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

What is your style (8/30/16 blog)

What is your style? I am not referring to your clothes or hair, but how do you approach situations. Do you lead with your head or with your heart? Do you take a loving approach, or are you stern and cold. Think about your audience. Does it make sense to customize your style based on the individuals in the audience? If you have not tried an individual and customized approach, I encourage to change up your style. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

What are your favorite memories from your childhood? What memories are you creating with your spouse and also for your children? Work to create special memories, first with your spouse and then with your children. Understand that before you had children and after they finish high school and go off to college it will just be you and your spouse. Make sure your cherish that relationship first, and then your children after. Work to create special memories that can help you sustain and reflect during the tough times. Plus, its the right thing to do and it models the way for others.

How many hours do you sleep per night on average. Consider what the overall impact would be if you went to sleep one hour earlier every night. Take the challenge and start going to bed at least one hour earlier and watch the impact on your weight, mental sharpness, decreased irritability, decrease in coffee intake, and overall wellbeing. After all, increasing your sleep is the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
