Well, chances are that having two heads would make it harder to kill. Also, having two heads would require each head to work together with their body for the best outcome to any situation.
Next time you have a difficult situation become Orthrus and ask someone for help or their advice. I believe that it's alright to win by yourself but you can't fail by yourself, so ask for help or if it's offered...take it.
The only thing better than Orthus with two heads, was Cerberus, Othrus's brother who had three heads. :) it's okay to get help from several others.
After all it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
