There is nothing that can replace the Happy Birthday song. Facebook posts can't. Text messages can't. Emails can't. And e-cards can't. It's that extra special touch of picking up the phone and hearing one of your favorite people sing you Happy Birthday. Thanks Uncle T. :-)
It's even a little more special knowing that "Happy Birthday to You" is attributed to Louisville, KY siblings Patty Hill and Mildred J. Hill, even though they failed to copyright it and someone else did.. It is also the most recognizable song in the U.S. and has been translated into 18 different languages.
So brighten up your favorite people's life by singing them Happy Birthday. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
