This past weekend I went out of town for a funeral and had the opportunity to stay with my cousin and her husband. I learned a lot about the planting and the harvesting season. I learned quite a bit about farming and the 2,200 acres that they grow corn and soy beans. Farming builds character, a good work ethic and can get you into shape due to the shear physical labor involved. I have great respect for my cousin's family, which is the fifth generation to farm their land. Thank the next farmer you see because it is a noble profession and models the way in so many areas for others.
