Get to know and work with other departments. Don't just focus on sales. Once you realize and understand that even though sales drives many organizations, it's the entire teamwork from ALL of the departments in a company that puts sales in a position to win versus just hitting a number. After all when you work with all of the departments that is when you realize that this is where you can truly win. It's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
