What I have realized is that sometimes someone can be very busy, but not get the job done. So make sure that you understand the job and what is expected to be done and go make it happen. Otherwise you're just very busy wasting time on things that are not critical or important, but you're only working in the nice to haves. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
