Make sure you apply what you learn. If you spend a week in training, don't just go to training and not applying your learnings. It's a waste of time and a waste of the person teaching the class or giving you feedback. So if you want to truly become better than you were, be teachable and apply what you learn. You can't just create new habits in a day, a week, or a month. It takes longer than that to make what you learned become a habit. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others.
Do what you know you should.Realize in today's world that whatever you do could be made public. Don't do anything you wouldn't want on the from page of the paper. That way you don't have any regrets. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Make time for team sports. Rooting for a team brings out your competitive energy and nature. So make time and take time to compete. After all, it's the right thing to and it models the way for others. Call them out on what you think to be true. Make sure that you're comfortable calling someone out. Otherwise it's all fake. Make sure that you're able to ask the questions and understand the situation and make sure that what you're saying is true. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Make sure that you are able to share stories. Being a good storyteller and being able to articulate an event for occurrence is an awesome skillset to have. So the best way to become a better storyteller is to observe people that you think tell great stories and look for similarities that you can relate. Share experiences and share stories. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Cast all your anxiety on Him because he care for you. 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) To have friends, you have to be one. Make time and take time to have friends and to be one. Sometimes it's good just to be able to talk to somebody and have a friend listen to you. If you're someone that has a very busy weekly schedule, then schedule time for friends. It helps your marriage or your relationships by having a life outside of work and outside of home. So make time for friends and make sure that you are a friend to there. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Don't settle for good, good to go for great! Recently someone told me that they had a sales goal and they were focused on achieving it, then once they achieved it we celebrated. Another person overheard the conversation and said well now that you've made it, it's not even the middle of the month, and it's just Tuesday...go double it by Friday. It's good to achieve your sales objective, but it's great to double it. So don't settle for good...go for being great. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. Sometimes when you have an opinion about something, things may seem very clear, but you need to check the facts. Things are not always as they appear. Do the research, check it out, and see what the truth is and then you will know. It's always best not to assume. I have found that when you assume, many times you are wrong and the path does not lead where you expected it to go. So don't assume and check the facts. After all, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. I know that have written about this before, but I am a big believer in leading from the heart versus leading from the head. I have led teams both ways and have always had more success leading from the heart. When you lead from the heart, the team knows you have their back. When you lead from the heart you get to truly know someone. Leading from the heart creates a great environment where success can flourish. Plus, it's the right thing to do and it models the way for others. |
